Sayantani Saha launches her second Hindi book Dhaage

Author Sayantani Saha is set to launch her second Hindi book, Dhaage – Suljhe Rishton Ki Ansuljhi Kahani, on 1 August 2026 at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC), Domlur.

The launch celebrates not only the release of a new literary work but also the enduring relevance of Hindi literature in an increasingly fast-moving world. The evening will feature literary conversations, reader interactions, an open mic, and a book-signing session.

Following her debut book Arth – Hindi Kavyanjali, Sayantani returns with a work of fiction that explores relationships in all their complexity. Rather than presenting definitive conclusions, Dhaage invites readers to interpret its stories through their own experiences, making every reading deeply personal.

The event welcomes readers, writers, artists, and literature enthusiasts to celebrate storytelling and the richness of Hindi as a language of emotion and reflection.

  1. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sayantani Saha

Sayantani Saha is a Hindi author whose writing is rooted in introspection, human emotions, and the timeless richness of Indian literature. While professionally working in the technology and banking domain, literature has remained an inseparable part of her identity.

Born and brought up in Rajasthan in a middle-class family where education and values formed the foundation of everyday life, she developed a deep appreciation for books from an early age. Reading the works of literary legends such as Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay and Rabindranath Tagore profoundly shaped her understanding of storytelling, revealing that literature is not merely about narration, it is about understanding people and oneself.

Her earliest inspiration to write came from her father, whose love for literature encouraged her to express her thoughts through words. Over time, writing evolved from personal reflections into poetry and eventually into books.

Her first published work, Arth – Hindi Kavyanjali, explored the nine classical rasas of Indian literature through poetry. With Dhaage, she moves into fiction while continuing to explore emotions, relationships, and human experiences through a distinctly literary voice.

Sayantani consciously writes only in Hindi. For her, Hindi is not merely a language of expression but a repository of India’s cultural memory and literary heritage. Through her work, she hopes to encourage contemporary readers, especially younger generations, to reconnect with Hindi literature and discover its emotional depth.

  1. ABOUT THE BOOK

Dhaage – Suljhe Rishton Ki Ansuljhi Kahani

Some stories conclude on the last page.

Others begin there.

Dhaage explores the invisible threads that connect people across time, memory, silence, and emotion. It is not a book that defines relationships; it is a book that questions them.

Each chapter presents an independent story while contributing to a larger reflection on human relationships. Some bonds strengthen us, some challenge us, and some continue to exist without ever seeking a name.

Unlike conventional fiction, Dhaage deliberately avoids offering complete closure. Every story leaves room for interpretation, allowing readers to carry the narrative forward through their own experiences.

At its heart, Dhaage is an invitation, to pause, reflect, and rediscover the many meanings hidden within relationships.

  1. FEATURE STORY

Hindi Literature, Unfinished Stories, and the Journey of a Writer

As the world becomes increasingly connected through technology, our ways of reading are changing. Stories have become shorter, conversations quicker, and attention spans smaller. Amidst this rapid transformation, regional languages and literary traditions often find themselves overshadowed.

Yet Hindi remains one of the richest literary traditions in the world.

It is a language that has preserved generations of poetry, philosophy, storytelling, and human experience. It has produced literary voices whose writings continue to shape readers across generations, not because they offered easy answers, but because they encouraged reflection.

For author Sayantani Saha, literature has never been about completing stories. It has always been about beginning conversations.

Her books intentionally remain open-ended. Rather than guiding readers toward a single conclusion, they encourage each individual to discover their own meaning. Every reader brings different memories, experiences, and emotions, making every interpretation unique.

This philosophy is deeply rooted in her own journey.

Growing up in Rajasthan, literature became an integral part of her life through a home that valued education and reading. The writings of Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay and Rabindranath Tagore introduced her to the emotional possibilities of storytelling, while her father inspired her to begin writing herself.

That journey first led to Arth – Hindi Kavyanjali, a poetic exploration of the Navras.

Today, it continues with Dhaage, a work of fiction that explores relationships without attempting to define them.

For Sayantani, writing exclusively in Hindi is a conscious choice. It is her way of contributing to a literary tradition that continues to inspire generations while reminding contemporary readers that literature remains one of the most meaningful ways of understanding ourselves.

Stories may end.

Conversations never do.
