1. For coverage of the Mysuru Dasara 2026 programmes, only accredited media representatives shall be eligible to apply for media passes. National and State level news channels may nominate two reporters and two videographers, print media and news channels may nominate one reporter and one photographer; and print and news media organizations in other languages may nominate one reporter and one photographer or one videographer. Applications for entry passes must be submitted along with a recommendation letter from the head of the respective media organization.
2.For official entry passes, the prescribed application form, containing complete details such as the name, designation, contact number and e-mail address of the media representative, must be duly filled in and submitted along with a mandatory recommendation letter from the respective organization and two passport-size photographs to the Deputy Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Dhanvanthri Road, Mysuru, on or before 3:00 p.m. on 23-09-2026.
3.Media representatives without a recommendation letter from their respective organizations will not be considered under any circumstances.
4.For obtaining an OB Van pass for electronic media, the OB vehicle registration number and the name of one driver must be provided mandatorily, along with two passport-size photographs of the OB Van driver.
The prescribed application form is enclosed with this communication. Applicants are requested to fill in and submit the application strictly in the prescribed format.
Applications to be received at the Bengaluru Head Office
Only media representatives of national and State level news channels and print and news media organizations in other languages that do not have an office or media representatives in Mysuru shall submit their application forms to the News and Press Section of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Head Office, Bengaluru, on 21-09-2026.
1.All other media representatives shall submit their applications through their respective organisation’s representatives in Mysuru to the Deputy Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Mysuru, within the stipulated period, i.e., by 3:00 p.m. on 23-09-2026.
2.Applications of media representatives submitted at the Bengaluru Head Office will be forwarded to the Deputy Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Mysuru, along with the recommendation of the Commissioner.
3.All media representatives who have submitted applications shall collect their Mysuru Dasara Festival passes from the Deputy Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Mysuru. No passes will be distributed at the Bengaluru Head Office.
